LXXVI: Failure to Communicate

ALERT! ALERT! ALERT! WE HAVE A FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE!

Every relationship professional says the key to a successful relationship is communication. I believe this is true. But if I don’t understand you, to me, you sound like a Neanderthal. If you don’t understand me I must sound like a Neanderthal to you. Needless to say that if we don’t understand each other than we are both Neanderthals trying to communicate very important details. Love is the greatest invention ever, but how we communicate love is in two completely different ways. The opposite sex bff is a failure to communicate and not necessarily one or the other not keeping it real as I stated before, but the idea is still remains the same. Let me explain.

We open the door and let walk in. You respond by saying thank you. I didn’t say anything to you or did I? When I opened the door I communicated to you that you were a Queen. So when I opened the door I said to you, let me get that for you my Queen. You responded by actually stating I AM thankful for you. Just that simple interaction has a huge impact. I AM saying you’re more important than myself get you some warmth before me. Or get you some cool air before me. Think of that when you open the door yourself or have to open the door yourself. What is being communicated? When you open the door yourself you are communicating to me that you don’t need me or that you are not a Queen. If I don’t attempt to get the door for you; how much do I value you as a Queen?

Back to luv. Let’s start with the bff situation. While dating other men you communicate to him all the things that you hate about your current interest. He is learning all the things that you luv. So he becomes all the things that you luv. He may go to the mall with you and notice the smells that you pick up and put back with comments at Bath and Body Works. If you go to pick up groceries while walking through you communicate to him what your favorite foods are. At this point he hasn’t communicated nothing to you until you get to his house and conveniently he has all the ingredients to make your favorite food. His candles, hand soap, and fragrance of the room are all your favorite, but you never put it together that he’s communicating his luv for you. He watches all those shows with you so that you’ll have something to discuss. He’s communicating that he loves you.

Quick Note Ladies: This is why you fail to see the signs that things aren’t going exactly the way you intended or thought. If he’s telling you that he loves you without first showing it…. Let him fill your bucket not just make deposits…

The failure to communicate in relationships is simply because I communicate with the “show” and you communicate with the “tell”. Because I AM not telling you that I luv you in the exact way you expected, or needed to hear it, doesn’t mean that I AM not communicating that I luv you. You have to take a step back and pay attention. Think about this… How did we know you were ready to share emotions? As an Alpha Male we take in and use ALL the information given to us to perform a particular task. I think about how your outfit was put together (packaging), how often you fix your hair, how often you lick your lips, when you smile, when you look down, and your voice intonations, to name a few, all while you’re talking to us. But you think we aren’t listening or paying you attention because we don’t respond. There might be some delay, that’s a lot of info. Fellas you have SWAG when you can do all this and keep up with the conversation. This is why when you are complaining about something we try to fix it. We feel that is the reason you’re telling us. We don’t give two schits about what you’re telling us, you’re communicating a dis-ease and we need to fix that as fast as possible. Now that’s love but it’s the reason why we have a failure to communicate.

As always remember be fuching selfish and through witnessing your happiness others can view themselves the same.
